WIP Update

Ok, up to 47,647. Posted Chapter 03.2 on the backfill.

Things are progressing well, I think. Feedback would be entirely grateful [nudge, nudge].

Next up on the agenda, Chapter 05.3!

Retrospect

So, in retrospect, words before wars.

Played great rounds of Mafia Wars and Pirates. Both games were updated to enhance game play. Fantastically addictive.

Got some words down on the dead tree I've been carrying around for those occasions that I have ideas. I still need to translate them into bits and bytes.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Brush. Floss. Repeat.

Write. Write. Repeat.

Mmm. Tasty mantras.

Post Holiday

Ok, so the 4-day weekend is over.

It's back to the grindstone today. The holiday has been relaxing. I developed and cultivated a great deal of 'me' time over this timeframe and took a hard look at some priorities. I found old friends and made some new ones. The connections, albeit virtual, seemed to recharge my essence.

Hopefully I can keep up the positive attitude.

I've made a deal with myself going forward with the WIP. With several other fun stories I'd like to write and the massive monkey that I've placed on my back with the WIP, I'm getting bogged down with everything that's rolling through my head.

So, for every chapter that I finish on the WIP, I will work on a lighter fun piece for me, just to stretch and get perspective.

Personal Responsibility

Today, I had a dentist appointment for the first time in years. Lack of insurance, timing, etc. Anyway, after I'm done with the X-rays, cleaning and counseling, I feel like I must look like this:

Not much work on the WIP is done this weekend. Again, timing, needing a mental break, a recent and overwhelming Facebook addiction.

All of this philiosophy leads me down a path that I need to become the fanatic of myself. I need to be my own hero. I need to take my own advice and develop personal responsibility for the things that have happened (or haven't) in my life.

With that said, there are some things I need to take care of.
